We use various pyrethroids and larvacides registered with the EPA when we treat for mosquitoes, ticks, stink bugs, and other insects found around the foundation of a home. The precautionary statements on the labels relating to Hazards to Humans and Domestic Animals are set forth below. The MSDS sheets do not mention any long-term or chronic exposure issues with these products. Almost all the risk is to the applicator who is applying the product. For customers who request it, we have an all natural option made of essential oils. All of our products are labeled for use indoors and in food handling areas. Though we do not treat in those areas.
Harmful if swallowed, inhaled, or absorbed through skin. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Avoid breathing spray mist. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
All pesticide handlers (mixers, loaders, and applicators) must wear long-sleeved shirt and long pants, socks, shoes, and chemical-resistant gloves. After the product is diluted in accordance with label directions for use, and/or when mixing and loading using a closed spray tank transfer system, or an in-line injector system, shirt, pants, socks, shoes, and waterproof gloves are sufficient. In addition, all pesticide handlers must wear a respiratory protection device¹ when working in a non-ventilated space. All pesticide handlers must wear protective eyewear when working in non-ventilated space or when applying termiticide by rodding or sub-slab injection.
¹Use one of the following: NIOSH approved respirator with any R, P or HE filter or a NIOSH approved respirator with an organic vapor (OV) cartridge or canister with any R, P, or HE prefilter.
When treating adjacent to an existing structure, the applicator must check the area to be treated, and immediately adjacent areas of the structure, for visible and accessible cracks and holes to prevent any leaks or significant exposures to persons occupying the structure. People present or residing in the structure during application must be advised to remove their pets and themselves from the structure if they see any signs of leakage. After application, the applicator is required to check for leaks. All leaks resulting in the deposition of termiticide in locations other than those prescribed on this label must be cleaned up prior to leaving the applications site. Do not allow people or pets to contact contaminated areas or to reoccupy contaminated areas of the structure until the clean-up is completed.
This pesticide is extremely toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Do not apply directly to water, to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Drift and run-off from treated areas may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in neighboring areas. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment washwaters. Care should be used when spraying to avoid fish and reptile pets in/around ornamental ponds.
This product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment or residues on blooming crops or weeds. Do not apply this product or allow to drift to blooming crops if bees are visiting the treatment area.
CAUTION: Harmful if absorbed through skin. Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Wash hands before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet.
This product is extremely toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Remove from premises or tightly cover fish tanks and disconnect aerators when applying indoors where such containers are present. Do not apply when weather conditions favor drift from treated areas. Drift and runoff from treated areas may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in neighboring areas. To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hr will help to ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash pesticide off the treatment area. Rinsing application equipment over the treated area will help avoid run-off to water bodies or drainage systems.
Causes moderate eye irritation. Harmful if absorbed through skin. Avoid contact with eyes or skin. Due to the size and abrasiveness of the granule, use protective eyewear and clothing to minimize exposure during loading and handling. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling.
Do not contaminate water when disposing of rinsate or equipment washwaters.
Insect Growth Regulator:
HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS
Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet. Do not induce vomiting because of aspiration pneumonia hazard. Obtain medical attention if irritation persists. Avoid contamination of food or feedstuffs.
Cover or remove all food and food processing surfaces. Thoroughly wash all food processing surfaces before reuse. After spraying in bakeries, meat packing plants, food processing plants, etc., all benches, shelving, equipment, etc. where exposed food will be handled must be washed with an effective compound followed by a potable water rinse to remove all traces of contamination. Food processing operations do not have to be stopped
while applying a wet spray with care and in accordance with the directions and cautions above in those establishments which do NOT operate under Federal meat, poultry, shell egg grading and egg products inspection program.
This product is toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Do not apply directly to water or to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water by cleaning of equipment or disposal of equipment washwaters.
All Natural Product made with essential oils:

Some materials that are chemical-resistant to this product are listed below.
Mixers, loaders, applicators and other handlers must wear the following: long-sleeved shirt and long pants; chemical-resistant gloves such as Barrier Laminate, Neoprene Rubber, Nitrile Rubber, or Viton; and shoes plus socks.
In addition to the above PPE, mixers and loaders supporting aerial applications to forests and/or applicators using a high pressure handwand in an enclosed area must wear at least a NIOSH-approved respirator with:
a dust/mist filter with MSHA/NIOSH approval number prefix TC-21C; or

This product is toxic to aquatic organisms, including fish and invertebrates. Drift and runoff may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in water adjacent to treated areas. This product may contaminate water through runoff. This product has a potential for runoff for several weeks after application. Poorly draining soils and soils with shallow water tables are more prone to
produce runoff that contains this product.
Do not apply directly to water, to areas where surface water is present or to intertidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment wash-waters or rinsate.
Do not discharge effluent containing this product into lakes, streams, ponds, estuaries, oceans, or other water unless in accordance with the requirements of a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit and the permitting authority has been notified in writing prior to discharge. Do not discharge effluent containing this product into sewer systems without previously notifying the local sewage treatment plant authority. For guidance,
contact your State Water Board or Regional Office of the EPA.
